D/FW metropolitan region has been the attractive destination for the Asian to live in, do business, raise their kids, and mingle with American society. In particular, the contribution of the Asian-owned business to governments has been significantly recognized in terms of the purchasing power or the household income.
North Texas region is expecting more influx of Asian population to the area because of: 1) Direct airlines to Asian countries; 2) Geographical advantage to international trade; 3) low housing and living cost compared to the West and the East; 4) Competitive education quality; and 5) Advantageous government business support policies.
Asian Demographic Changes from 1990 to 2000
As you see below the map, most cities in North Texas have seen increase of Asian population, and in particular, the suburbs such as Plano, McKinney, or Frisco have seen the skyrocketing influx of Asian population.
