TxDOT (Texas Department of Transportation) has been improving Harry Hines Boulevard, which is owned and maintained by State of Texas. This improvement construction has been done between Royal Lane and I-635, and the supposed completion of the project is July 2008.

Once completed, the section of Harry Hines Blvd will have sidewalks on both sides and median islands, and better quality of street surface.
