The GDAACC organizes committees that offer members the opportunity to network with business people in the Dallas metroplex. The Chamber encourages members to actively participate in any of the following committees which best suits the member's interests:
Asian Trade District
Provide assistance to Asian-American owned business in the area known as the "Asian Trade District" with Harry Hines Boulevard and Royal Lane as the core streets of the district.
Business & Economic Development (BEDC)
Promote minority procurement contracting opportunities with major corporations. Provide monthly small business seminars designed to help members improve their small businesses. Oversees the Chamber's Job Fair and Annual Awards banquet.
Bylaws
Review the by-laws on as need basis, reflecting the needs and growth of the organization.
Corporate/Public Relations
Develop an Asian Community Calendar displaying all Asian festivals, holidays, and other special events. Identify events and functions that GDAACC should represent to ensure visibility in the corporate and civic communities.
Education
Promote the development of academic and leadership skills among Asian youth. Host annual Excellence in Education Banquet recognizing academic achievement by awarding scholarships to Asian American high school students in the Metroplex.
Finance
Oversee the cash flow of the Chamber and monitor it's assets and liabilities. Direct the Chamber's budgeting process.
International Affairs
Attract foreign investment to the Dallas area by working with the Greater Dallas Chamber and the City of Dallas as well as with trade missions from Asia. Promote the Chamber and the City by participating in and/or coordinating trade missions to foreign countries, especially Asia.
Legislative
Inform and advise the Board regarding trends and developments in state and/or local government that impact the Chamber and it's members. Represent the Chamber in the legislative coalition of Chambers of Commerce of the North Texas area.
Membership
Increase corporate membership among the business community and individual and small business membership among the Asian Community. Promote business among members within the Chamber by providing networking opportunities such as membership mixers.
Strategic Planning
Review Mission Statement and develop 3, 5, and 10-year strategic plans.
Women Business Forum
Encourage the personal growth and business development of the women members through roundtable discussions and meetings. Facilitate additional networking opportunities for members through quarterly luncheons, which feature high profile women business leaders.
