EVENT COORDINATOR
Job Description
- Coordinate and execute major Chamber events such as the Installation Luncheon, Asian Festival (22,000+ attendees), ExpoAsian, Job Fair, Awards Banquet, Holiday Party, all Membership Mixers, etc.
- Promotes all events internally and externally
- Creates press releases and other marketing materials
- Attracts event sponsors and ensures the correct use of company identity to accommodate brand promise.
- Works with state and local governments, corporations, and communities to organize charitable contributions
- Works with event committees to materialize their visions and ideas
- Act as project manager to coordinate work among the Chamber staff and volunteers
- Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable related to events
- Reports to the Executive Director
- Supervise and direct interns and event staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Marketing, Event Planning, Public Relations, or Business Management
- Experience in large scale event planning
- Good writing skills
- Social media proficiency
- Good networking skills, community connections help
- Familiarity with Asian cultures or initiative in learning about these cultures (we represent over 20 Asian countries)
- Passion and love for events, culture, and marketing
Salary: USD 30,000 - 45,000 Per Year
Career Level Required: Experienced (Non-Manager)
Experienced Required: 1-2 Years
Education Required: Some College Coursework Completed
Job Status: Full Time
