development in North Texas. As a non-profit organization our core values are excellence in business and leadership, cultural diversity, accountability, and collaboration. Being a membership-based organization that represents over 17 Asian ethnic groups, our main focus of membership benefits are as follows:

  • Bi-annual orientation sessions for new members,
  • An eNewsletter listing procurement and job opportunities,
  • Monthly minority business round tables
  • Monthly small business seminars
  • Networking mixers
  • Discounted registration fees at all chamber’s paid events
  • Special discounted rates in a medical insurance plan
  • Special events to promote interaction with corporate and civic leaders
  • Job listing/posting on website

All our programs, events, and affiliates are designed to facilitate the economic development of North Texas. For example, we host four annual events - the Installation Luncheon, the Asian Festival, the Excellence in Education Banquet, and the Awards Banquet - to increase an awareness of Asian cultures, to raise the visibility of our corporate partners as well as to promote Asian business investment in Dallas. We also organize business seminars, job fairs, procurement wo rkshops, and professional development programs to assist with diversity hiring and minority contracting.

Under the auspices of GDAACC, several organizations were formed to accomplish our Chamber’s
mission including,

  • The Asian American Contractors Association of DFW with a focus on winning contracts
  • The Multi-ethnic Education and Economic Development (MEED) Center to provide job training and business assistance
  • The Texas Federation of Asian American Chamber to assist the growth of Asian chambers of Commerce and businesses in Texas
  • The Certified Development Corporation of the South West (CDCSW) to assist its members in
    obtaining long-term fixed asset financing
  • The Chamber is working on a master plan advocating for the Asian Trade District as a retail
destination. Asian Trade District (ATD) was established by the City of Dallas in Northwest Dallas in 1994. Since then, our Chamber has been working closely with the offices of Dallas County, and City of Dallas to transform the 21 shopping centers with over 300 specialty shops into a major shoppers’ haven for local residents as well as international tourists from as far as Asia and Europe. In the years to come, GDAACC will maintain its key role in ATD, which is a main attraction for Destination Dallas.

With a committed and diverse board and a talented and hardworking staff, GDAACC will continue its present significant role as a key stakeholder in the economic development of North Texas.
