This position is responsible for ensuring that regulatory and investor examinations run smoothly and efficiently, that problems are resolved, and that regulators/investors have access to the people and information needed. The incumbent addresses logistical issues and concerns that arise during the examination process, collects and provides requested information to regulatory agencies, handles additional information requests, and keeps the manager informed of problems. The incumbent also provides and ensures the accuracy of individual reports / documents sent to management and regulators and assists the manager in overseeing the examination process. This position is critical to establishing and maintaining positive ongoing relationships with external regulators / investors and can have a significant impact on the outcome of exams conducted by external parties.
1. Collects, reviews, and organizes requested information from across the Compliance and Corporate Risk organization in preparation for regulatory examinations.
2. Handles day to day requests from regulators during examinations and performs research as needed.
3. Works with external regulators to facilitate examination needs and assist in their navigation of the organization.
4. Monitors, coordinates and/or manages the status of regulatory issues, quarterly reporting requirements, issues analysis, and corrective actions associated with established remediation plans. Ensures all tracking databases are up to date and consistent.
Ensures the quality of the updates and status as well as analyses risks associated with execution of remediation plans.
5. Analyzes, compiles and develops reports and information/data related to regulatory issues and their associated risks.
6. Maintains current knowledge regarding regulatory requirements, process changes, and organizational structure and management changes within the Company.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics or related discipline with course work in business law and accounting preferred.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in banking, regulatory, legal, or auditing environment with significant exposure to regulatory compliance matters.
- 3+ years experience lead project management, process management, and implementation processes and execution.
- 4+ years audit/exam management.
- 3+ years in operational risk management/ assessments, quality assurance and /or compliance experience.
- 5+ years of related financial institution experience.
- Must have basic knowledge of general financial production and related compliance / regulatory processes.

The Team Lead position is responsible for management of Analytical Review production analysts, including implementation of established business processes, assigning work to staff and training on new software applications. The Team Leader will be responsible for insuring that production and quality goals are met, and providing performance feedback to staff. Team Leader is responsible for QC and approval of risk ratings, and providing feedback to vendor on errors or sharing best practices. Team Lead also handles escalations and questions from production analysts. The Team Leader is expected to be knowledgeable on Third Party Investor requirements and applicable credit standards, and ensure that the team conforms with all requirements. The Team Leader will be expected to flexibly adapt processes and procedures to accommodate changes in requirements and standards, and effectively implement changes within the team.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Real Estate, General Business or Accounting or equivalent work experience
* Strong organizational skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in CREAM
* Prior Supervisory experience a plus
* Proficiency in Microsoft desktop tools including Word, Excel, Access, Power Point.
